Who Is George Pell?

SECURITIES FRAUD?

George Pell founded and lead K2 Design and Strategy, a company he purports specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Solutions, and Immersive Technologies. To be sure, George Pell along with a cast of other individuals with questionable backgrounds, put a lot of time into creating the impression of a highly sophisticated organization on the cutting edge of the most advanced technologies in the world.

In reality, K2 Design and Strategy was nothing more than an illusion George Pell created to cheat people out of their money. To be sure, George didn’t put any money into K2, but in 2014 he was able to convince a number of people to invest thousands of dollars in K2 under the auspices K-2 was about to go public. To this end, George prepared and filed a Registration Statement, issued press releases touting the impending IPO and made big promises. The Registration Statement looks very official, but a careful reading shows the information misleading and or untruthful. For example, in the disclosures section, George represented that he has not been convicted in a criminal proceeding. NOT TRUE. George also failed to disclose that he and his co-director both had filed for personal bankruptcy. In any case, the fact is your dry cleaner had a better chance of going public. K2 had no money, no assets, no revenue, no prospects – zero chance of going public.

After a while, some of these investors, who really couldn’t afford to have made this investment in the first place, became suspicious and started asking questions. George put them off with excuses, and when he ran out of excuses, George simply ignored them. Not satisfied, some of George’s victims didn’t just walk away, including one who reported George to State authorities for Securities Fraud.

On January 31, 2018, the Illinois Secretary of State, Securities Division initiated legal action to stop George Pell and K2 from soliciting people to invest in K2. [Click here to view complaint.] The case was set for hearing April 4, 2018, but rather than address the charges that day, George continued the hearing claiming he need additional time to prepare.

In reality, George wanted to use the extra time to bully his victim, a female, who reported his fraud, into dropping charges against him. Court records are rife with allegations of George bullying and intimidating women, including through physical violence. George tried to bully his victim into dropping her charges, and she, like others, feared for her safety and sought protection from Law Enforcement.

George’s victims have no expectation that they will ever see a nickel from George. George doesn’t have a real job, and lives off the grace, and probably the money, of his handicapped sister – the same one he fleeced when he went bankrupt. Instead, they want to hold him to account for what he has done to all his victims, and to stop him from hurting people. It’s a good bet that the Secretary of State proceeding will do just that, and that this will only be the first step in holding George to account for what he did to his victims.

As of October 2018, the state and George Pell have come to an agreement whereby George C. Pell agreed to never sell Securities in the state of Illinois along with a fine.
